The Seattle International Bicycle Expo this weekend is not to be missed! Now in its 20th year, the Expo will kick off in a new location at Magnuson Park’s Hanger 30 for its 9 a.m.- 6p.m.Sunday and 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Sunday weekend run. Expo tickets cost $8 per adult at the door or a two-day pass is $10. Please note: CASH ONLY at the door. Kids 15 and under are FREE!
Expect more than 150 exhibits of bikes, gear, travel, health and fitness. Expo is one of the largest collections of bike businesses and organizations in the country under one roof. Seattle, Portland and Bellingham get in the Irish spirit this weekend
Bellingham’s Runnin’ O’ the Green on Saturday will kick off with two races - a two-mile run/walk and a 5-mile race – at 10 a.m. An estimated 450 runners and walkers will do a loop from Bloedel Donovan Park. trithecookie.com/pages/running_o_the_green.html
The 25th annual Henry Weinhard’s St. Patrick’s Day Dash in Seattle on Sunday is the largest such race in the country with over 15,000 runners and walkers. The race not only has a new start time of 8:30 a.m. but a new route that will take participants from the start line on Mercer Street along Aurora Avenue North. Runners, walkers and even small Leprechaun’s under 12 are all invited to the 31st annual Shamrock Run in downtown Portland on Sunday. All events start at Waterfront Park. Events start with the kids race at 7:45 a.m. with the main race getting underway at 9 a.m. Entry fees range from $15 - $29.
