Stevens Pass is a Green Hero

Congratulations to Stevens Pass! Seattle Business magazine recently honored Stevens Pass Mountain Resort as the winner of the Recreation Category in the list of 50 outstanding sustainable organizations. With innovative sustainable techniques such as food waste composting, electric vehicle recharging stations, and pilot solar power projects, Stevens Pass has proved itself an exemplary business.

“We are always looking for ways to reduce our impact, save money through efficiency, and do the right thing for the mountain environment,” said Ross Freeman, Environment and Sustainability Manager for Stevens Pass.

With an avid dedication to sustainability, Stevens Pass and other businesses like it, are taking steps toward insuring that the public can keep enjoying outdoor recreation, and that’s a cause we can get behind.
