These last few months have been busy for the OutdoorsNW staff! We have been traveling throughout the Northwest to visit exciting places, meet readers and strengthen client relationships.
We also sponsored, and had booths at the Big Tent Rally in Olympia, the Recreation NW Summit and Expo in Bellingham, and the Seattle Bike, Travel, Adventure and Gear Expo, all in Washington state.
Our media planner, P.J. Watanabe and his wife, Rena, took Amtrak east to the historic Izaac Walton Inn in Essex, Montana. They enjoyed three days of snowshoeing, snowmobiling and snowboarding throughout the beautiful mountains around the town of Whitefish and Glacier National Park.
Our sales manager, Jennifer McLaughlin, visited Wenatchee, Washington, to take in the true mountain town experience of skiing at Mission Ridge Ski and Board Resort. She also attended the 20th Annual Travel Southern Oregon Tourism Symposium to learn more about the incredible features that region offers.
OutdoorsNW publisher Carolyn Price headed south for The Running Expo in Austin, Texas. The Expo showcased the most extensive lineup of new running shoes and apparel found anywhere—all under one roof.
And I had the fun opportunity to play for a day with my fiancé, Dan, at the Adventura Aerial Adventure Park in Woodinville, Washington. Having been a ropes course facilitator I was grinning ear-to-ear with excitement—I was in my element 20-feet above the ground swinging through fun yet challenging aerial obstacles.
Look for stories about some of these adventures in the 2016 and 2017 editions of our magazines. In the meantime, please enjoy the photo collage of our team hard at work … playing!
