7th annual Walk ’n Wag Returns to Lake Sammamish State Park March

Walk ’n Wag, the biggest dog party on the Eastside is back! Dogs, friends of dogs, and spectators are invited to the seventh annual Walk ’n Wag at Lake Sammamish State Park, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 7, presented by Alpine Animal Hospital.

The event starts with a “3k Walk in the Park” for dogs, their friends, and family.

After the walk, registered dogs are invited to participate in the Banner Bank pet show. Pets will be judged on Smallest Dog, Largest Dog, Dog/Owner Look Alike, Best Trick, and Best Costume. Winners will be awarded gift baskets compliments of All the Best.

In addition, winners of the Friends of Lake Sammamish State Park's Recycle Right Poster Contest will be presented at the start of the pet show with awards courtesy of Arena Sports Issaquah.

Registration is only $20 per dog for the walk and includes entry into the pet show. Plus, dogs get a cool collapsible water bowl. Register here! Registration will also be available at the event for $25.

The Doggie Village is free to all attendees and opens at 10:00 a.m. with vendors available to share information, services, and giveaways with pet owners and those interested in being pet owners.

Attendees are invited to watch performances by Seattle FlyDogs, Rainier Agility Team, and the King County Search Dogs.

The Dru Bru beer garden opens at 11:30 with music throughout the day by Tinkham Road. Food will be available from Zeeks Pizza, Tasty Z’s Hot Dog, and Ben and Jerry’s ice cream.

All proceeds will benefit new amenities and beautification projects for Lake Sammamish State Park.
